what if he was traded to the blue jackets for Rick Nash? There would be more to the trade but Icould see that happening.

Yeah he had a GREAT year in Montreal. He ended up being the 3rd goalie in the end of the season didn't he?

I'm with you. I was irate over this trade. It was a huge gamble and the Avs certainly came out on the losing end of it.

I am on board with Budaj though. He really played well this year. I know a lot of people don't think he has what it takes to be the #1 goalie, but I think he does and I think he went a long way in proving that this year.

I don't care where he ended up. Even if they were equally bad - one is a whole helluva lot cheaper than the other. And, regardless, let's look at how Aebi played for the Avs vs. how Theodore did.

Even when Theo wasn't stinking up the place, I didn't see an appreciable difference between he and Aebischer, except in the paychecks they were cashing.
