Default 2nd most over-rated team...

besides michigan, must have been the little orange of tennessee.

If Cal's last td wouldn't have been called back, they would have had 52 points. They still scored plenty and a big win for them.

Cal had 31 at the half. tennessee fans leading up to the game talked all week about how the ut defense was going "shut Cal down" and "it wouldn't even be close."

Well...at least they were right on half of that...it wasn't close.

I was at the game, and I don't think they are overrated. At many times they were moving the ball at will up and down the field, especially in the first quarter. ALso they came within 7 toward the end of the third.

But thats about it for the credit I'll give them, since they totally fell apart in the fourth because they simply are not as athletic (no competition) as this Cal team and not even as physical. And definetely can not keep up with Cal or four quarters. I think they are a solid team though and definetely a top 20 team in my opinion.

My candidate for second most overrated would be Notre Dumb, as usual. 30 point blow out loss at home to Ga Tech? Terrible, terrible, terrible.

Update:

Florida 59 - little orange 20

Worst butt-kicking for the little orange since 1981.

Runner-up:

the "fighting-irish" - lose 38-0

My, how the mighty have fallen.

#1 and #2 would be ND and Michigan, respectively. Who's 3? Tennessee or Auburn?

Default first leg

The first leg of the stool of the most over-rated Conference has just been kicked out, with Louisville getting their butts kicked

Louisville gave up WAY TOO MANY points to MTSU (look at how LSU shut out the same team)...now the loss to U.K. - however - solid football wins by "basketball schools" Kentucky and Vanderbilt yesterday somewhat offset the SEC fortunes of Auburn and tennessee.

Top to bottom the SEC is still tough as nails. (even though LSU and Florida seem to be well above the rest right now this season)

I don't se anybody challenging those two in the SEC. Everyone else will be playing for second.

Agree the Big East is way overrated. They realy don't deserve a spot in the BCS.

I'm not particularly sold on that. I think Rutgers is by far the most solid team in the Big east because they actually have a good defense to compliment the offense. West Virginia I think stands teh chance of being a paper tiger. USF and Cinncinnati so far have looked very respectable. Louiville has just looked terrible.

Louisville fans went boo-bird on their team in that MTSU game for not playing any defense.

MTSU had just lost to Florida Atlantic the week before!!
(scored a whopping total of 14 points in that game)

If people had put any stock in the whipping Louisville put on 1-aa Murray State that first game, forget it.

Murray lost the other day to the tiny non-ncaa Lambuth College.
Oops!!
