Default Biggest Upset so far?

There's been quite a few. Which one is the biggest and which one will have the greatest affect (for good or bad) on the loser?

The 'Zags can't afford to lose outside of conference if they are going to play locally in the tourney with a top 4 seed. That's what made the win over UNC so sweet and the loss to Butler so sour.

In some ways I wish for both the 'Zags and the Pac-10's sake they would expand to 12 teams for basketball adding Gonzaga.

Funny, CC, you didn't mention Marquette over Duke, at least as much of an upset as Gonzaga over UNC.

But anyway, I picked ORU over KS, as that's one no reasonable person would expect. I don't believe in November upsets, though, especially if the weaker team is more experienced. The first couple of times out of the gate, just about anything can happen.

absolutely no way

coming into the season, UNC was invincible, a lock to win the NIT.

Marquette over Duke was an upset, but no way was it one of the top 5, and wasn't anywhere near as big as Gonzaga over UNC

Coming into the season, UNC was unproven. Whatever invincibility there was existed only in the minds of people impressed by the accomplishments of high school players in high school games. A mirage if ever there was one.

Gonzaga was a top-25 team, just like Marquette. Both of these were minor upsets, in terms of the polls, but easily anticipated outcomes by anyone who knows that experience rules in November.

Oral Roberts beating Kansas at home. Who would have thought that was possible even after seeing Kansas bow out against Bucknell and Bradley last year.

I mean, where did Butler come from? They're a often mentioned mid major power but are they trying to follow the footsteps of the Gonzaga? Fairly impressive.

As the season progresses, I have to agree with CC. Marquette beating Duke was just a case of the better team winning.

NC State over Carolina deserves consideration as a major upset.

Duke has now drop out of the top 25 showing how bad they really are so none of those loses were really upsets now that you think of it

The Tourney Committee will want to put them in, just because so many people would enjoy their early exit, but a sub-500 ACC record puts Duke on the bubble.

this is the first time in 200 weeks that DUKE is not in the top 25 they are currently sitting number 26 i don't see Duke making the tourney even though it would be fun watching them get humilated

Pitt in my opin sucks....except Ramon

Grey is a the biggest stiff since Bogut.... He wont make it in the NBA and can barely make it in college.

Louisville is making a late season push, and I think they may make the tourney if they win 3-4 more regular season games!
