Poem on Notre Dame's loss hope I make you lol

Notre Dame played very lame
The results of the game were theirs to blame
Winthrop played with passion
Notre Dame was yeseterday's fashion

Can someone tell me how much the ACC undererchieves?

Its a joke they get 7 lousy tournament teams and only 4 make it past the first round. NC, VA, MD, BC should have been the only teams from the ACC in the touney. VA tech is just a lucky team and the Illini are pounding them in. So far the Acc has impressed me the least out of all power conferences....

Meanwhile the Big 10 had 6 teams and currently all of them are slated to advance. What a conference the Big 10 is, and what defense...

Meanwhile the SEC has impressed me too, but I think the level of play in the ACC sucks
Come on this isn't 2000! Why all the teams?.....

I don't know jack crap about college basketball.. nor do I really intend to... I just fill out brackets every year... so far in our Fanhome bracket, I have 3 losses... and no team that I lost on did I have advancing in the next round anyway.... but currently VA Tech could ruin that streak

Whoops maybe I should wait to bash the ACC, until all the games are finished lol

Dang Illinois shut down at the end, and VA Tech beat them on a game edning 12-0 run. Damm Illionis always shut down at the end of the game.

I still think the Big 10 is the best tourney conference along with the SEC

Well... I got the VA Tech one... but looks like I lose the ARI/PUR one... that hurts in our bracket challenge, not that I had Arizona advancing past the next round... but now I need Holy Cross to upset to be back in the lead in our competition

Great quote from Reyshawn Terry about Tyler Hansbrough's destruction of the Big Ten's Spartans: "Tonight, Tyler took off the mask and put on the cape."

One more thing: this is the best NCAA Tourney I've ever seen. Every day has been spectacular.

The Sunday games didn't help the spectacular part, but USC upsetting Texas was spectacular.

Yeah, other than the USC win, Sunday was ho-hum in comparison to the earlier games.

Extremely important win for the Tar Heels tonight. We didn't play well; USC did. We won. Those are the kinds of games that champions win.

My first impression is that our primary strategic advantage - depth - won for us tonight. USC just couldn't play at a high enough level for a full 40 minutes. Once they started dragging, we found another gear.

The Georgetown game should be a great contrast of styles. If the Hoyas play like they did tonight, I feel good about our chances. But then, if we play like we did tonight, I don't.

Another thought - if you want to see the future of college basketball, watch the NBA. Both Sidney Lowe at NC State and Tim Floyd at USC have shown that you can win without the best athletes using an NBA-style offense. Others will take note.

I wouldn't even say that North Carolina found another gear, they were just able to capitalize on a tired team without any depth in the middle. Consistency looks like another gear when the other team wears down.

USC did what they could, but they needed things to go exactly right for them to pull it off. I disagreed with a couple or three of the fouls on Gibson, and once he was out of the game, there was nothing to replace him. But, that's why it's tough to make it through 6 straight tournament games. You need the depth to overcome those bad breaks.

And, I'm not sure USC's offense is what makes him successful. I've never seen a coach so successful at creating a game plan that neutralizes the other teams top scorers. It's not always perfect, but it's amazing how often USC has been able to shut down the primary or even secondary weapon and make the other team beat you with the rest of the team. If he can get some more depth, he'll get more than close against teams like UCLA, Kansas and North Carolina. It's also amazing how similar all 4 games against those teams were this year. USC looking like the better team for almost the first 30 minutes only to wear down and cough it up at the end.

I agree. Our depth enables us to play at a very high level for the entire game. When we play up to our potential, there are very few teams that can stay on that level. USC isn't one of them, but they are a very, very good team.

Great game by the Hoyas; congrats to all their fans. I'm hardly a reliable observer on matters concerning the Tar Heels (my bias being nearly impossible to overcome), but I felt that Georgetown's defense eventually succeed in solving our offense, and we were left with no one who could step up and sink a jump shot.
