This freeze-frame capture from the video of Gerald Henderson's attack on Tyler Hansbrough reveals a couple of unsettling points:
The Foul: Frame by Frame « Tar Heel Fan First, Hansbrough is fouled by another Duke player before Henderson even shows up. As a result of that foul, the ball is not in Hansbrough's hands when Henderon flies in. If the officials had been doing their jobs, Henderson may never have had a chance to make his assault. Next, though he is closer to the ball, Henderson is not even looking at it. It sails past his head as he goes for Hansbrough's face. Finally, in the second-to-last frame, Henderson is clearly focused on following through on the hit against Hansbrough. |

I dont think it's fair to judge someone by their actions while in the air....in the time it takes for a person to jump and reach for a basketball, to say he was focused on TH's face because his head doesn't follow the ball quickly enough is unfair. I don't think he meant to injure him,...people are just trying to use this as a catalyst.

Hack a shaq anyone? In today's basketball in the US, it IS okay to hammer the big guy...everyone once and awhile, the big guy is gonna get hurt....and it is not at all uncommon for a coach to reference a player from another team without using his name...some people just love to start things.
