SEC Tourney

This is probably the toughest conference to figure out in terms of Bids so this is more than likely the most important Tourney of them all, IMO anyway.

Locks

Florida, Tennessee, Vandy, Kentucky

Bubble Bound

Mississippi, Mississippi St, Alabama, Arkansas

Need to win it all

South Carolina, Georgia, Auburn, LSU

1st Round

Game 1 - [W5] Alabama vs. [E4] Kentucky

Game 2 [E6] So. Car. vs. [W3] Arkansas

Game 3 [E5] Georgia vs. [W4] Auburn

Game 4 [W6] LSU vs. [E3] Tennessee

Round 2

Game 5 - G1 Winner vs. [W1] Miss. State

Game 6 - G2 Winner vs. [E2] Vanderbilt

Game 7 - G3 Winner vs. [E1] Florida

Game 8 - G4 Winner vs. [W2] Ole Miss

Mississippi and Alabama both probably only need to win 1 game to get in, especially if you consider that fact that Miss won the SEC WEST regular season title.

Miss St and Arkansas both probably need to win 2 to be locks but I also wouldnt be shocked if both just won, 1 game and were granted bids. If you consider that there are no real mid-majors that will deserve a at large bid this year ( which is unlike most years ) some of these on the edge teams from the bigger conferences could sneak in with less than stellar resumes.

I'm surprised that LSU is having a bad season like they are this year. I can't wait until the SEC tourney and will follow it.

Yea, I dont understand it either.....I thought LSU would be alot better and they were in the top 10 but then they just fell off, HARD....

And I agree with you I cant wait for this tourney to start, its the most interesting conference tourney, IMO

I honestly see LSU winning this tourney. I know Florida, among others, are in this conference, but LSU has too much talent not to perform. I think Davis dominates this tourney. I don't think that Florida wins the SEC tourney if LSU doesn't win it.

Florida will be an early exit....mark it down

They have their seed rapped up, and the big time coaches with a big time teams do NOT like to play all the way to the finals in these conference tourneys

I would not be shocked @ all if LSU won the tourney

Wow, I'm suprised no one has any props for Tennsesee, probably the msot underated major program in the country. I think Florida will to good in the big tourney, but they may falter in this one.

Alabama losing pretty much assures them of an NIT big and not an NCAA

Great overtime game between Kentucky and Miss St....
Alot of close games by the way already today....

Kentucky looked impressive though, overcoming a 14 point deficet at one point

Kentucky is definetly a team that was on the bubble, and this loss doesn't help them out. I believe that they will miss the tourney because they haven't beaten one single top 25 team this season....

They have the toughest Strentgh of Schedule and they have 20 wins, mark it down they are in

Good point about SOS of schedule Bravesfan, but I still question their inability to win against good teams....That being said they probably will make the tourney, but they haven't showed much that they should in my opinion

What about Vandy?
Tennesee?

Vandy lost today by 1 point against Arkansas, but I think they will make it because they did beat Florida this season and do have 20 wins

I think Tennesee will make it also, considering they beat Florida and had a solid SEC season. However they lost, but Bruce Pearl is a great coach

Meanwhile now, Florida is creaming Georgia

Tennesse was 22 wins

Good Wins - Okie St, Memphis, Texas, Miss St, LSU, vandy, Kentucky, Bama, Arkansas and Florida

While their only bad lose was to South Carolina

As for Vandy, they have 20 wins and 10 wins in the SEC ( which is HUGE )

Good Wins = Ga Tech, Tennessee, Bama, Kentucky ( Twice ), LSU, Mississippi, Florida

Bad Loses - Wake Forrest, Furman and Georgia
