Default Big East Tourney

This is one of the deepest leagues from year to year and that still stays true this year even though the big dog ( UConn ) is out of it this year. Teams like Georgetown and Louisville stood up and took over and have been 2 of the best teams in college basketball.

Ill start off by breaking down the teams that are in the field of 64 and the teams on the bubble that still need to do some work :

Locks :

Georgetown, Louisville, Pitt, ND, Marquette

Bubble Bound :

Syracuse, Nova, West Va

Need to win it all to get in :

Depaul, Providence, St Johns, UConn,

Ok with all that said....I think if you look at the records vs top 100 / 50 and the RPI's then Syracus and Nova basically just need to get 1 win and they are in. West Va is more interesting because while their record 21-8 would seem like they have a good chance to get in, but if you dig deeper you will see that they havent done anything against top 100 / 50 teams and that could end up hurting them and their chances. But if they win 1 game they should be in, win 2 and they are locked in.

Games tip off on Wednesday @ noon :

Nova ( 9 )vs Depaul ( 8 ) - Winner plays G'Town ( 1 )

UConn ( 12 ) vs Cuse ( 5 ) - Winner plays ND ( 4 )

Providence ( 10 ) vs UWV ( 7 ) - Winner plays Louisville ( 2 )

Marquette ( 6 ) vs St Johns ( 11 ) - Winner plays Pitt ( 3 )

So thats the way things break down, IMO I wouldnt be shocked if anyone outside of UConn, St Jons or DePaul won this tourny....Its wide open and the games are going to be fun to watch.

LETS GO LOUISVILLE

Here are my quarterfinals

Nova ( 9 )-G'Town ( 1 )

Cuse ( 5 ) - ND ( 4 )

UWV ( 7 ) -Louisville ( 2 )

Marquette ( 6 )- Pitt ( 3 )

Semi

Nova vs. ND

Pitt vs. Louisivlle

Louisivlle wins, can't go against the hot hand.
I would have Marquette going way further, but they have been plagued with injuries lately.
I think Georgetown is way overated, although they had a good year, I dont think they have what it takes
Expect Nova to come out hungry, even though they have a depleted roster from last year

LOUISVILLE !!!!!!!!!

Edgar Sosa went coast to coast in regulation to tie the game with no time left after it went in and Louisville ends up blowing them out in the SECOND OT

G'Town and ND also advance to the 3rd round

For some reason, a lot of Carolina fans hate Rick Pitino. I don't know why, I've always liked the guy.

Yea, alot of message board people hate him....but I just think its because early on in the season we were looking awful and they are impatient ( like most fans ) but I mean come on we are SO young. We are all underclass man aside from Padgett basically.........

Louisville is a team that greatly overexceeded expectations and they may be the hottest team coming into the tourney....Rick Pitino is a great coach, interesting how everyone was questing him when Louisiville wasn't playing strong at the beginning og Big East play

Btw...I totally underestimated G'Town, boy was I completely wrong. They are the real deal I think know, and definetly if they reach the Big East tourney finals deserve a 2 seed

I think I have found my team that is going to win the tournament. I have a feeling that Georgetown will win the Big East tourney and the NCAA tourney.

Pittsburg comes back to beat Louisville in the 2nd half.

The reason for that would be Antonio Graves, Ville couldnt stop him inthe 2nd half and he put Pitt on his back for the W

Sets up a G'Town / Pitt final tomorrow @ 9 on ESPN
