Default PAC-10 Conference Tourney

Official Tourney schedule, standings

The Conference moved to all ten teams making the tourney, but that means that the lowest four seeds play before a standard bracket of eight, both the 7 and 8 seeds should advance.

That would lead to a third match-up of UW and WSU which should be close since both teams are very familiar with each other. Cal will lose to UCLA in their second game.

I have hopes for the Dawgs, but I don't think that they have too much of a chance on a neutral court.

The only "lower" seed I expect to win a first game is Arizona, because their are some coaches whose experience should get them at least one win, in this case not more though.

Having seen so much of Washington State and UCLA out here there is no reason to not expect them to meet in the Finals, and I truly feel that the Cougs will win to force the selection committee to have two PAC-10 schools with Number One seeds.

Big result out west today, as Cal knocks off the Bruins. With the loss to UW last week, is UCLA now a 2-seed?

I blew a lot of my calls on this. Oregon advances to the finals vs USC.

WashSt is probably a 2 or 3 seed, but that could still mean Spokane for them, which would get them out of the opening weekend.

UCLA should have fallen to a 2, but they would be in Sacremento (IIRC that's the CA based pod).

The winner, either one, could wind up in with a protected pod space as well.

I think that the PAC-10 tourney has shown that it is a deeper/competitive league, but the Big12 really has more power at the top.
