If WashSt wins the PAC-10 tourney do they get a one seed?

Part of that was the Wisconsin Badger fan coming out in me. They are a legit Top 8 team this year, and I hope they get a #1 seed. However, I know that they have greatly overachieved to this point in the season, and thus they almost need the #1 seed to really do something in this tourney. They need to get their confidence going again, and they are talented enough between Tucker, Taylor and Flowers and Landry to get some confidence early and start getting hot and making a real run in the tourney. Coach Ryan has done well with less talented teams in this tournament before, and I think that will be one of the biggest reasons, if they do anything in the tourney this year.

Wow, I totally had Washington St. blowed off the radar, but they are 23-5. They have really had a great season and Tony Bennett has done a great job taking over for his dad.

If Washington St. wins out, which I kind of think is going to be a tough task (they have two play 2 top 25 teams in UCLA and USC) then they should be at least a 2 seed. However they may win out because these last two games are home games.

If they win the Pac 10 Tournament I do think they would have to be a number 1 seed, but as mentioned they have to win out the last two games because I dont think just the tourney will be enough for a 1.

Do you think Butch being out 4-6 weeks will have much of an impact on the Badgers? I think it will sort of, after all he is a 7 footer.

Jason Bohannon was quite impressive and like you said Bo Ryan should be a coach fo Year Canidate.

Meanwhile hopefully my Illini make the tournament, which they should!

I think it will have an impact, but they are still a very good team without him, and I mean, they played arguably the #1 team in the country to the last shot without him mostly. He is a 7 footer, but like you said he often underachieves....I'm hoping the Illini make it as well...it's rough trying to live in SEC country....

My new number 1 seeds, in fact alot has happened in just the past week, so here is what I have

1
Ohio State- playing better now
UCLA- I don't think the Washington loss will hurt much, still an elite team
Kansas- proved this week they are the best team in Big 12....2 impressive wins
Florida- Tough not to , defending champs with nearly whole team back

2
Wisconsin- Close win against MIch St., too close though
NC- Falling, but if they win tonight will be right back up there
Memphis- Kind of tough to dispute, great team in smaller conference
A and M- Law is impressive and he carries the team

I would switch Florida and UNC and I would drop Memphis and add WashSt.

Do you all think Memphis should be a number 1 seed?

This is a tough call, they have been cruising this season and after today's win will be 29-3.....

I think they should get one, if one of the powerhouses lose tonight or tomorrow, but Memphis must win their conference tourney too

Such a tough team to judge, but they surely have talent!

Right now, Sagarin has the top 4 teams as
NC
OHSt
FL
KS
with WI and UCLA close behind.

However, if you go by Elo rating alone, it's OHSt, WI, UCLA, NC; and the Predictor rating alone gives you NC, KS, FL, TXA&M.

Given the weakness of the Big 10, I'm thinking there's no way they'll get two top seeds. FL should get the nod as defending champ, and UCLA for regional balance.

Florida definetly will get it....

Defending champions, whooping butt in the SEC tourney, and returning most of the team. Its clearly obious that they will get a one, and I think the Gators clearly deserve it

UNC is playing a close game against NC St, but will probably get a one as well....

The winner os OSU and Wisconsin will get one for sure

And if Kansas beats Texas I think they will get one also
