Okay, Memphis has a tough road. I could see them slipping in the sweet 16 against Pitt or Michigan State. Stanford will give teams headaches with the Lopez twins.

My prediction: Stanford

Yeah, this is a hard road. Stanford and TX are strong, and Pitt is no slouch. Marquette can beat anyone, and MISt should be a tough out.

It will be fun to watch the Lopez twins again.

Memphis is my pick.

Which is an upset in itself since most people doubt them because it's probably the toughest region and they don't play in a power conference. They're probably the #1 seed getting the fewest picks to get the to the Final Four. Still, I think with their talent they'll get through.

They looked very ordinary against TN, which was the only one of their games that I saw. Plus, they play in a weak conference, so they're not tested. I picked TX to come out of this bracket. The 'Horns have both talent and experience against quality opposition.

If I only judged them on the Tenn game I wouldn't think as highly of them either.
I also saw them play against UConn, Georgetown, the Zags, and Zona. I think they're one of only two or three teams that can play poorly and still be in the game against a good opponent. They don't play poorly often. You could pick most of the top teams and cite one game where they didn't play up to par and wouldn't impress if that was your only indication.

They're my pick to cut down the nets.
