That may not load as it looks like they broke the story and the servers aren't keeping up.

Well after listening and reading all the stories on this it is a less of a shock then when I heard it driving home. I guess everyone in the know knew it was coming at some point and this would be his last year and he wanted to do it this way so his son, pat, and now coach of TT could get a chance and not come in @ the start of the year and be completely new.
Bob will always be in the top tier of coaches alltime, just a shame that alot of people will choose to remember his outbursts rather than the fact he has the most wins all time

Do you think this will truly be the end of the road for Bobby Knight, or will he resurface elsewhere?
I've always wondered how long he'd last with an NBA gig. I bet he could get a lot out of a young, rebuilding team. The Atlanta Hawks would be a good fit for him. |

I can see him coming back
I think he did all he could do @ TT and is happy that his son is getting a chance to coach. Im sure he will be active with his son and helping him out but I cant see him taking another gig. As for the NBA, he wouldnt last. Those divas would just tune him out and they would be worse for ignoring him. College was the perfect place for him

I remember that Larry Bird offered Knight a job as assistant coach with the Pacers. I think this was around the time that Knight lost the job at Indiana. I'm not surprised he turned down Bird's offer. I can't imagine Knight taking a backseat to anyone.
