Default Starting Rotation

C.C. Sabathia (14-7, 3.38)
Fausto Carmona (14-8, 3.11)
Paul Byrd (12-5, 4.61)
Jake Westbrook (4-7, 4.40)
Aaron Laffey (2-1, 4.76)

Our top 3 pitchers are a combined 40-20 this season. If you want to know why we are 2.5 games up on the Tigers, look no further. Byrd, C.C., and Fausto are having stellar seasons.

Don't look now tribe fans, but Jake Westbrook is on his way back... only 1 earned run, 7 hits, and 4 walks in his last 15 innings pitched.

Oh, and Aaron Laffey is on a 2 game winning streak!

Keep it rolling Indians...

The Indians arguably have the best starting pitching around right now. It's tough for them to win when the Indians can't score. 1 run against the Royals Friday night isn't much of a showing for a team hoping to make the post season.

Everyone noted how big the Tiger series was but the series coming up with the Twins will likely tell more as the Twins are the only team playing good baseball in the Central right now.

I'd put C.C. Carmona, Byrd and Westbrook against anyone in baseball right now. The only problem is they aren't going to be able to go 9 every inning and they aren't going to drive in many runs.

Lofton is starting to hit for the Indians as well as Gutierrez and Cabrera which should help.

This offensive dry spell has really been a test for our pitching....but their holding up well....Its very frustrating to be pitching games you should be winning, but end up taking the loss for....

I think it might possibly be forcing them to 'pitch even better'.....
