Pluto on Marte/Crisp

Beacon Journal | 07/24/2007 | Long term, short term, what's the deal with Crisp?

I didn't care for the deal when it happened. Hopefully Marte can still be salvaged as granted he is still a kid.

Crisp is a mediocre centerfielder. I still can't believe the Red Sox play him there. He has one of the worst arms I've ever seen.

I wouldn't have made that deal.....Crisps arm is no worse than Gradys...

I like Pluto...he'll admit to an error in judgement....

Crisp, as an Indian, improved on every season he was here....

Crisp-Sizemore-(Gutz, Blake) would be one the best defensive outfields in the league.....Speed +

No matter how you want to rate it, Crisp is better fulltime than any of the replacements (Trot, DelMike)...

His arm isn't the best. So far it beats Marte's bat. Coco in left partially solves the arm.

I'll grant the jury is still out but the trade happened at a time that trades should have been made to make immediate impact.
