All I have heard is that Texas wants the world for everyone and that they really have the most to offer.
I don't know........ Garko won't make 9 million until the next decade at the earliest. For the money difference, i don't know if the production difference will be there. If Texiera didn't make so much and one thought he could be switched back to third.......... |

That is a tough one....I really like Garko....Miller seems to be in constant rehab......
And Texiera usually maintains a pretty high quality game..... Your right #1....Texas wants to come out on top of any trades, thats for sure.....

I wouldn't give up Garko and Miller for Texiera. The problem with all of these deals is that they're gonna cost you more than they're worth. We are solid at first base right now; the Indians need to focus on the bullpen and corner outfielder postions.
Lofton would be an OK fit in left field, although I don't know how thrilled he would be to move out of center. The thing I like about Lofton is that he would give us the flexabilty to move Sizemore to the number 2 or 3 spot in the lineup. Keep in mind, Sizemore leads this team in Home runs right now. I think we might get more out of him dropping him down one or two spots in the order. 1,2,3,4,5 might look like... Lofton Sizemore Vic Hafner Garko Blake OR Lofton Blake Sizemore Vic Hafner Garko Lofton, at age 40, is likely to come cheap too. I think he is the best option out there right now. |

O.K., I'm trying to get some interest here......LOL
Anyways, ESPN doesn't note the Indians in talks concerning Texiera. I just don't think 1st is a pressing need. Lofton is one of my all time favorite Indians. That said, I'm not rooting big time either way. His playoff run, post season experience is what the Indians are looking for IMO as much as anything. He likely would not be a full timer. Lofton followed by Sizemore could be interesting. (for the rest of this year) Lofton is going to play forever but he certainly isn't a long term answer. I imagine he will find himself in this position for 4-5 more years. I would think he would jump at the chance to get off the Rangers who aren't going anywhere. He can be cantankerous but he also knows how to light a spark. |
