If he does ANYTHING in AAA the front office better be on the phone trying to throw him in to sweeten any deals they have going. He just doesn't have the tools to compete at the major league level. He MIGHT become a journeyman at best.
His value will never be higher if he does well in AAA once westbrook comes back. |

He's a kid, relax. The Indians would be out of their minds to trade Sowers now. First of all, he won't bring in anywhere near what he's worth. Second of all, you can never have enough pitching. The Indians are benefiting from having 6-7 guys in the organization ready to pitch at the major league level. With Westbrook coming back soon, it looks like Sowers will be the odd man out of the current rotation. But that doesn't mean they're going to want to deal him. Paul Byrd is aging, and CC's contract is running out. Sowers displayed that he has the stuff to compete last season. Everyone wants to condemn anyone that can't throw 95 mph, but you don't have to throw fast to be effective. Just look at Jamie Moyer. It would be way too early to jump ship with a guy as young as he is, in my opinion at least.

Like Stephan A Smith says HOWEVA -- Moyer at least averages about 4-5 strikeouts a game. Sowers doesn't fool anyone.
Any soft tossing lefty ALWAYS gets compared to Jaime Moyer..... Moyer is the exception not the rule... |
