Well that's it for C.C. Not his best but certainly good enough. Only 4 hits. Would have been impressive big time if not for the walks. The announcers note that none of the 6 walks scored. That's pretty impressive.

PRONK!! 10-3

Meinkewitz was injured getting off the bus. Tripped over a NY cameraman. He was able to start. I don't know if it started acting up or what.

This has been a dream night. And Jensen just added to his growing rep., while Kenny's added to his legend.

Everyone's been making a big deal out of the season series, but of the 6, three were in early April when we were still finding ourselves. And one of those was a "Joe Borowski" special: the six-run inning. I wasn't worried, especially as they hadn't faced C.C. this year (or last, for that matter).

Great win, but it's still only 1 win. Gotta come back ready to act like it's 0-0 in games, and act like they have everything to prove.

And with that: Ryan Garko homers. 12-3.

Still, for one night: TRIBE FANS GET TO GLOAT!

I sort of wish the Indians saved a few of these hits. I cant help but think about 1999.

Still, this should have the guys at ESPN (the all Yankee, Red Sox network) crying for awhile.

Remember back in 2001 when the Tribe scored 17 runs against Seattle and went on to lose the division series 3-2?

Yeah, let's hope history doesn't repeat itself. The key is for the players to not get too cocky, and realize that a 9 run win is still only ONE win. There is work left to do, and I think Fausto understands that.

GOOOOO TRIBE!

We love this game!

And I, for one, think it's all about attitude. So I been posting this one everywhere I can.

"We came here to chew some bubblegum, and kick some ass....

And we're all out of bubblegum"

Go Tribe!

For one night, I was happy. Now, I'm eager and just as nervous for Game #2 as I was before Game #1. It's on Fausto now. Not sure that Petitte will pitch like he's done in previous play-off appearances, but I'm sure he'll do better than Wang did. So this one'll be a nail biter right 'til the end.

No freaking "fluke" HR tonight for Damon. Lazy fly ball to Lofton to start out.

Yanks go down 1, 2, 3 to start. Tribe starts with single by Sizemore.

After the walk to Matsui, 4-6-3 DP to get out of the inning. Hope our hitters are a little more patient in this inning.

3-0 and we let Garko swing? I don't think I would've done that. Posada's one thing, but a young guy like Ryan?
