CLEVELAND, Feb. 2 (AP) -- They wore their standard shorts and tank tops. The Cleveland Cavaliers, though, might as well have been sporting pinstriped suits, palming Blackberrys and rushing to a meeting.

On Friday night, they were all business.

LeBron James scored 18 points, 13 after halftime, and Drew Gooden added 16 as Cleveland bounced back from a rough night in South Florida by beating the banged-up Charlotte Bobcats 101-81.

The sting of Thursday night's loss to the Miami Heat wore off shortly after the Cavaliers' plane landed in Cleveland early Friday morning.

Sure, coach Mike Brown could have called for an early morning practice and the team could have kicked themselves until Friday night's tip-off with the Charlotte Bobcats.

But the Cavs had something else in mind as they refused to waste any time in a 101-81 blowout victory over the Bobcats at The Q.

CLEVELAND - If the Cavaliers were able to consistently handle their affairs with the swiftness and efficiency they displayed Friday night, life would contain significantly less grief for them.

Hosting a lesser but usually feisty opponent, the Charlotte Bobcats, the Cavs quietly and without much exertion used their advantages to methodically squash the visitors 101-81.

Not much changed in a month, huh? Charlotte scored 67 points through three quarters Friday night, which made the fourth quarter a scrimmage -- and a bad one. The Bobcats lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers 101-81.
