Post Cavs: Different strategies for same goal: Title

It isn't so much a game today at Quicken Loans Arena as a confluence of ideologies.

The Phoenix Suns are geared to run. The Cavaliers are geared to play defense. The Suns are ahead in the process, significantly so.

These are well-known facts, but they aren't the whole story.

There are quite a few pundits and lots of fans who believe that the Suns have it right and have set the curve in the modern NBA, to play high-speed with athletic and quick players that can play multiple positions. That they've taken advantage of rule changes that restrict defense and encourage more possessions per game. That they've maximized the talent of not only their stars, but also of complementary players such as Boris Diaw, Leandro Barbosa and Raja Bell by convincing them to shoot first, think second.
