Post Season just OK at midpoint

Quote:
CLEVELAND - Monday marked the exact midpoint of the season for the Cavaliers. Looking back, head coach Mike Brown gives the first three months a trepidacious thumbs up.

The team has the exact same record as last year and is in a virtual tie for the lead in the Central Division standings. The numbers show slightly improved defense, allowing about three points fewer per game than a year ago at this time, and slightly weaker offense, scoring about three points fewer.

A little wavering at times, but Brown has seen progress even if there have been some bumps.

``In a word, inconsistent,'' Brown said. ``There's times when we've looked really good and you feel like we're going to take off. I think we've been doing a lot of things right. We've been an inconsistent team and it's shown, especially on the road.''
