Frye not expected to play Thursday night I know nothing about Derek Anderson, but I would think the Cleveland Browns would miss Frye if he did not start. |

We kinda knew Charlie would not play this week after he missed the entire second half of the KC game with a brace on his wrist. We still don't know a lot about DA but he has a pretty strong arm (stronger than Charlie) and looked awfully good shredding the Chiefs unprepared defense in the fourth quarter leading the Browns to three scoring drives (2 TDs and the winning FG in OT). He's a big kid (6'6" 230 LBs), showed some scrambling ability, and made decent decisions with the football.
It will be interesting to see what DA does against the Steeler D since they are likely preparing for him. Still he has only played one half of NFL football so the amount of video footage for the Steelers to study is limited unless they go back to his college games at Oregon State which I doubt they will. |

I will take what I can get. Back to topic though, I still like Charlie but am not convinced he is the future at QB for the Browns. What I will miss about him is getting the chance to see if he was going to get any better over the last four weeks of the season.
He has not been ruled out for next week so maybe his injury will not keep him out too long! |

In preseason Anderson made things happen for the Browns. I know it was only preseason and he was mostly playing against 2, 3 and goners but he was also playing with 2 & 3rd teamers and some goners. But then again we've seen unknowns come in in releif and lite it up only to flop when given a start.
But I look for a big game out of him and Brownies win! |
