Ninersrule is on a distinguished road
Default Bailey to start on Sunday.

Homer Bailey will be given his first real spring start on Sunday against the
Pirates. He is slated to throw 2 innings. He started an intrasquad
game on Wednesday and threw primarily nothing but off speed pitches,
as that is his supposed weakness- his ability to get over his off speed
stuff with consistency. Bailey was very impressive during the intrasquad
game.

Bailey says that he has been working real hard at his off speed command
during the off season and getting more comfortable each time out. The Reds
staff knows all about his hard stuff, but they are wanting him to get his curve, change up, looking like the same motion that he throws his hard stuff
with. Time will tell, and so will Sunday.
