Spring Training notebook

The first notebook of the year for Spring Training has been is available.

THere are already several players in Sarasota working out getting ready
for the 2007 season. Pitchers and catchers report on Saturday, and the
first full squad workout will be next Friday the 23rd.

Kerry Ligtenberg has been signed to a minor league contract.

There have already been a several bright spots for the Reds,
among them, Edwin Encarnacion, Joey Votto, Josh Hamilton- who hit
a massive 420 ft shot without wind Ryan Freel.

Pitching so far has Elizardo Ramirez with 2IP, 0R and Joe
Kershner with 1IP and a save.

The offense committed 5 errors on Thursday, but only 1 Friday,
so a big improvement there.
