Along with coming of Homer Bailey some point in the next year or so,
the Reds are starting to build a base corp of starters, which is sorely needed. Lets hope we can get a repeat plus more from Arroyo and Harang this year...along with hopefully 10-12 wins from Bailey, the Reds may be more than competieve this year.

I am a little shocked with the money given to Arroyo and not really sure why they did it.
They have him locked up for another 2 years w/o this extension and Arroyo fell back to earth the 2nd half of last season...I would have taken a wait and see approach with him. If he duplicates hes 1st half then give him the payday. But I dont see the harm in waiting another year before giving him this extension. I highly doubt the market would have been this high too, that would have been another plus for the Reds
