Ninersrule is on a distinguished road
Default Reds to officially have new spring home.

On Wednesday Sarasota city and county officials are to sign an agreement
to build the Reds new spring training home. They are still many agreements to work out, but it will become a reality on Wednesday.

For those of you that have never been to see the Reds in Florida at all,
you are really missing something. Their former home in Plant City I thought
was top notch with all the amenities for the minor leaguers, and Ed Smith
Stadium and the surrounding fields are okay, but I can guarantee that the
park and facilities will be first class all the way.

From the Herald-Tribune.com:

"A proposed agreement, on which the city and county are poised to vote Wednesday, would spell out the responsibilities of both parties in building a planned $54 million facility near Ed Smith Stadium. The agreement includes securing a new 30-year lease with the Reds."
