I had a discussion with a Reds fan last night, because I was wondering
if had to stick on the big roster... being a rule 5 player. We came to a consensus that because he was traded he does not have to remain on the big league roster. I think that he still needs some seasoning. He may have a great deal of talent..i.e. Wily Mo, but he needs to play and needs AB's in the worst way. the only way for him to get better is to play every day, and hthat would be in the minors to start. I don't know much about him execept for his reputation, but if he has over come all demons and obstacles then he would be a welcome addition to the Reds.

He doe sneed to stay ont he big league roster. They were saying in the St. Pete Times yesterday the Rays expected him back at one point next season - be it after ST or sometime during the regular season.
