Phillies trying to get Freddy Garcia?

Phillies GM Pat Gillick is reportedly willing to send Aaron Rowand and either Ryan Madson or Gavin Floyd to the White Sox for Freddy Garcia.

It'd be a fair trade for both teams. We prefer the White Sox's side -- both Mark Buehrle and Javier Vazquez are more valuable properties than Garcia in our eyes -- but the Phillies probably wouldn't lose all that much going from Rowand to Shane Victorino.

From an outsider's perspective, I think if the White Sox could get that for Garcia, they should do it. Thoughts?

As a Phillies fan, I'd do that in a heartbeat. Rowand in my opinion doesn't like it here in Philly, even though he's loved by the fans for that catch he made last year when he broke his nose. Victorino is a very nice player, and he's more than capable of taking over center field. Adding Garcia to our rotation of Myers,Hamels,Moyer and Eaton would be great. This is assuming they trade Jon Lieber maybe to Milwaukee for Kevin Mench.

there was a deal with either Buerhle or Garcia on the table..... Iw ould take either but I would prefer Buerhle
