Default Cubs ban alcohol in home clubhouse

Quote:
CHICAGO -- The Chicago Cubs have banned alcohol from the home clubhouse and on charter flights home in response to the tragic death of St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Josh Hancock.

"It's precautionary," Cubs manager Lou Piniella said Tuesday. "What's good and safe for the players is good for the team and the organization, too. I sort of like it, I really do."

Alcohol will be allowed in clubhouses on the road, and on charter flights to road cities. Cubs team president John McDonough talked to Piniella about adopting such a policy, and they notified the players.

Good move, this should have been done a long time ago. It takes away some danger from our team, alcahol has no place in a clubhouse anyway in my opinion.

What do you all think of the banning of alcahol from our clubhouse?
