Thumbs up Vote for the Cubs! The 2007 All-Star Game

Quote:
Alfonso Soriano has been to the All-Star Game five times, as a member of the Yankees and the Nationals. Fans can help send the Cubs center fielder to Midsummer Classic as a Cub as balloting is now under way on MLB.com and at ballparks.

I voted a few times, I will continue voting for our Cubs throughout the season?

How many All Stars do you think we will have voted in batting wise?

I think Alfonso Soriano may be voted in because of his popularity, and maybe even Lee or Barrett.

I think we will at least get 1, even though we don't deserve it batting wise!.....

CHICAGO -- Alfonso Soriano has been an All-Star second baseman for the New York Yankees and an All-Star outfielder for the Washington Nationals. Can he be an All-Star for the Cubs?

The game will be played July 10 at San Francisco's AT&T Park. The in-stadium balloting ends at Wrigley Field on June 17.

Fans can cast their votes for starters up to 25 times with the 2007 All-Star Online Ballot at MLB.com and all 30 club sites until Thursday, June 28, at 10:59 p.m. CT.

Last year, Carlos Zambrano was the Cubs' lone All-Star representative, but did not pitch in the game. Zambrano won't know if he makes the National League team again until pitchers are announced later in the process.

So far Rich Hill has the best chance to make the game for anybody from out pitching staff....he has been a phenom.

As for batting, not sure if we will get one in, although its going to be close. Well, we are guranteed at least one All-Star!

Derrek Lee is deserving, and Pujols and Howard are helping by struggling majorly. I hope Soriano doesn't get in because he has done absolutely nothing so far this year but make a lot of money. Michael Barrett is a worthy candidate for the ASG as long as he doesn't pick any fights this year.
