Default Cubs reliever Scott Eyre spent night in hospital

Quote:
CHICAGO (AP) -- Chicago Cubs reliever Scott Eyre was expected to be released from the hospital Sunday after spending a night there with flu-like symptoms.

Eyre, 0-0 with an 11.25 ERA in four appearances, was taken to the hospital following Saturday's game against Cincinnati.

"He'll be here tomorrow," manager Lou Piniella said. "He was really dehydrated more than anything else."
