Default DeRosa sidelined for several days

DeRosa suffering from back pain:

Quote:
CHICAGO -- What is the old journalism adage, "If it bleeds, it leads?" That could be considered the Cubs' motto the last few years, if not its press corps. While few, if any, of the team's myriad injuries have involved actual blood and guts, the team's assortment of maladies have cast a pall over the Cubs.
Aramis Ramirez made a stir on Friday when he showed up after two off-days with a swollen right wrist. After examinations at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, he was diagnosed with simple, but always lingering, tendinitis.

New second baseman, and Ramirez's backup at third, Mark DeRosa was scratched on Friday with a minor back problem, though he subbed in the sixth. Both were considered out for Saturday's game and each will probably miss the next couple of games, according to manager Lou Piniella. Ronny Cedeno started at second and Ryan Theriot at third for the second straight game.

Not good at all, we need as many offensive players to stay healthy as possible. Although I am not the biggest DeRosa fan this infield we have been sending out is very weak. It is nice to see Ronny Cedeno get more playing time though because I think he could become very good given some experience....
