Default Prior, Wood to pitch in same game Monday

Quote:
PHOENIX (AP) -- Mark Prior and Kerry Wood will make their spring training debuts Monday when the Chicago Cubs play Seattle.

Both pitchers are coming off injury-shortened seasons. Prior was beset by shoulder problems and was put on the disabled list three times in 2006. Wood sustained a partially torn rotator cuff that ended his season in July.

"I told our pitching coach (Larry Rothschild) we'd answer all the same questions in one day," Cubs manager Lou Piniella said Saturday. "They're both nice and healthy. That's a good start."

Just a heads up, they will both be playing in the same game tommorrow. Hopefully both of them will have good injury free seasons , at least I hope so
Kerry Wood should just stay away from bath tubs!

Prior stunk and Wood did well. Too early to tell if this is an omen of the season ..

Yeah, Prior was way off, Wood looked in decent form, but as long as they bothcome in the season healthy they should have good seasons......I hope lol

Just as long as they at least both make it to the all-star break without an injury, it will be an accomplishment in my book. It would be a miracle if both of them managed to pitch the whole season! Get some positove energy Cubs fans, it may happen!
