I guess 3-4 is acceptable for a Western Conference road trip, but they should have done better.

The great news is that the Bulls schedule is pretty light in the second half of the season.

After losing just twice over a 35-game stretch, the Phoenix Suns have been defeated three times in their last six contests.

The Suns (39-11) look to get back to their dominating ways Sunday when they host the Chicago Bulls, a team they haven't lost to at home in more than 10 years.

The Suns have won five straight overall against the Bulls (28-23) and haven't lost to them in Phoenix since Nov. 20, 1996, when Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen each scored 37 points to lead Chicago to a 113-99 victory.

PHOENIX, Feb. 11 (AP) -- No Nash, no Diaw, not much chance - even against the road-weary Bulls.

A Chicago team at the end of a seven-game road trip, playing for the third time in four nights, was still too much for the severely short-handed Phoenix Suns.

Kirk Hinrich scored 14 of his 29 points in the fourth quarter Sunday night, and the Bulls beat the Suns 116-103.

PHOENIX -- A little help! It's the playground basketball plea. The Bulls were a little desperate, and the Phoenix Suns were accommodating.

That resulted in a 116-103 Bulls victory Sunday night against a Suns team playing without starters Steve Nash and Boris Diaw.

The Bulls made like the Suns with a terrific display of shooting. Kirk Hinrich, who tied with Luol Deng to lead the Bulls with 29 points, made like Nash, especially with a 14-point fourth quarter after the Bulls had blown a 15-point lead.

PHOENIX -- There was a time Sunday when it looked as though the Bulls might trademark their signature second-half slide.

But the Bulls, who watched a 15-point third-quarter lead disappear, bounced back behind the trio of Kirk Hinrich, Luol Deng and Ben Gordon to hand the Phoenix Suns a 116-103 loss, the first double-digit defeat the Suns have suffered this season.

PHOENIX -- The Bulls and Phoenix Suns were without starters Sunday. Bulls forward/center P.J. Brown, who had one of his better games of the season Friday at Golden State, was out with back spasms. The Suns, meanwhile, played their third consecutive game without two-time league MVP Steve Nash (right shoulder inflammation), and forward Boris Diaw also was out with back spasms.

The Suns thought Nash would be back by Sunday, but he was ruled out after the team's morning shootaround.
