This from PFT,
Posted by Mike Florio on June 8, 2008, 5:14 p.m. EDT There’s a strong difference of opinion among the media regarding whether Giants tight end Jeremy Shockey will report for a mandatory minicamp with the team that won the Super Bowl without him in February. In comments appearing in the New York Post, Shockey was unequivocal about his intention to participate. “I plan on fulfilling my contractual obligation but the No. 1 thing that I’m going there for is to be with my teammates [who] I miss so much,” Shockey said. But in comments posted on ESPN.com, Shockey sings a different tune. “Who knows? I might go to see my mother in Texas. I have no idea,” Shockey said. Since Shockey’s remarks were made at a Saturday promotional event, it appears that the Post omitted reference to the statements suggesting Shockey wouldn’t attend minicamp, and that ESPN ignored the statements suggesting that he would. We’ll all find out the truth on Wednesday, when Shockey shows up. Or doesn’t. ProFootballTalk.com - CONFLICTING COMMENTS FROM SHOCKEY
