Sox head into Texas tonight, never a comfortable place.
They throw Dice-K, Wakefield and Tavarez to the mound, against, I think, McCarthy (5.82 ERA), Padilla (5.52 ERA) and Loe (6.38 ERA) Texas is currently 5th in runs scored per game (5.00) and 13th in runs allowed (5.57) Red Sox are 4th in scored (5.30) and tied with Oakland for 1st in runs allowed at 3.76 On paper, the Sox should take 2 out of 3 or sweep. The Sox have the advantage in every game, but if the better team won every game... well, they would stop playing them in august, cause what would the point be? |

I fell a bit behind in the MVP/LVPs, so here they are:
Game 1: MVP: ![]() (2 RBI, 2 stolen bases) LVP: ![]() (4 ER in 1/3 IP) Game 2: MVP: (4-4, including a triple) LVP: (6 runs in 5 1/3 IP) Game 3: Tri-MVPs: (key 3-run HR with 2 outs) (2 hits, game-saving catch) (5 big outs, 3 K's) LVP: (blown save, 2 ER surrendered) |
