Top of the 3rd:
Joel Piniero now pitching for Boston.
Jason Bartlett with a single to left-center.
Throwing error on Lugo...already. Youkilis had to leave first base in order to field the ball.
Another sharp single to center for Rondell White, run scores.
1-0 Twins, the error proves costly.
Groundball to short ends the inning.

Bottom of the 3rd:
Scott Baker now pitching for Minnesota.
Pedroia with a solid base hit to shallow center.
Murphy with a hit to shallow right-center.
Ellsbury strikes out.
RBI hit up the middle for Julio Lugo...Pedroia scores, 1-1.

Zen, the top of the third, who reached on Error? and did Bartlett just get to second? Do you know who grounded out?

I'm sorry you have to suffer with Jo-El.

Top of the 4th:
Brendan Donnelly now pitching for the Red Sox.
LeCroy strikes out on a beautiful sinking fastball.
Harvey flails at a split-sinking fastball that drops from 12 to 6...then grounds out to third on a tight inside pitch.
Groundball to Youky ends the 4th.

I'm very impressed with Donnelly thus far. He showed an outstanding array of pitches that danced all around the strike zone and had varying speeds. He didn't waste a single pitch. Efficient, strong, pinpoint control. Totally dominant. A+ for Donnelly.

Bottom of the 4th:
Lowell strikes out.
Pena sneaks one under the glove of the second baseman for a hit.
Pedroia walks, Pena to second.
Murphy with an infield hit to short. Bases loaded.
Ellsbury chips one over the head of the second baseman. Two runs score. 4-1Red Sox.
Jason Miller now pitching for the Twins.
Ellsbury steals second base...and doesn't even draw a throw. Perfect form.
Lugo strikes out.
Youkilis grounds out to short, leaving a pair of runners in scoring position.

Top of the 5th:
Julian Tavarez now pitching for Boston.
3B Spann (who?) one-hops a grounder to 1B Bailey (who?) for the first out. Bailey made a nifty grab off the bounce in order to prevent an error and record the out.
Luis Castillo lines a one-out single to deep left.
Jason Tyner with a hard liner to right. Runners on the corners.
3-run homer...4-4 ballgame.
Tavarez finally retires the side after a Twin tries to stretch a single into a double.

Bottom of the 5th:
Luis Jimenez, Alberto Castillo, Chad Spann go down in order.

Top of the 6th:
Delcarmen now pitching for the Red Sox.
LeCroy with a hit just past the middle infield.
Pop fly to shallow center, one down.
Another pop fly to center, two down.
Spann bobbles a routine grounder to third for an error. LeCroy to second.
Tepid groundball to second, inning over.

Bottom of the 6th:
Alex Ochoa strikes out on three pitches.
Pedroia grounds out to second.
Murphy out on a bang-bang play at first. (He looked comfortably safe.)

Joe Mauer reached on the error. I'm not sure who grounded out. I'm watching the game on NESN and for the most part there aren't any graphics mentioning the names of the hitters. The announcers don't consistently mention who's batting either. I'll be able to figure it out later from the box score.

I also miss some of the plays because I'm simultaneously watching the Celtics-Knicks game. I have two televisions set up next to each other.

But yes, Barlett moved up to second on the throwing error. It was a particularly bad error too. Lugo took his sweet time picking up the ball. He double clutched and yet still managed to throw it offline by three feet. Julio Lugo is no Alex Gonzalez.

nice Zen! ahh, it's good to see the game threads...

even if it is for a ST game. Where I recognize only a few of the names.

But i'm in NY for the week, so seeing those names is great
