Quote:
The Stars were one of the league's best home teams in 2006-07, going 28-11-2 at American Airlines Center. This will be their first home game against the Bruins since Oct. 15, 2003.

Julien was head coach of the first-place New Jersey Devils until he was abruptly fired with three games left in the regular season last April.

Julien replaces Dave Lewis in Boston, becoming the third coach of general manager Peter Chiarelli's 16-month tenure.

In their only season under Lewis, the Bruins (35-41-6) finished last in the Northeast Division and missed the playoffs for the second straight season. They gave up 70 more goals than they scored, ranking 29th overall in team defense.

"We're aiming for more cohesiveness as a unit this year and by getting that it will make us a tougher team to play against," Julien said. "This will be a much better team than most people expect."

well midway thru the 2nd and it's 3-0 Dallas.....

the more things change the more they stay the same

I'm so tired of watching this crap. But at least we've seen two fights thus far which is much different from last year.

Thornton lost his, but Lucic won his

I wouldn't say Lucic won that fight, seeing as neither went down and the Linesmen broke it up...

All the same, 3-1 at the end of 2, so 20 minutes to see which way it goes

Didn't have time to update the Live Score box like I usually do, because I was busy watching the Sox and Bruins at the same time. The team didn't play too well, most of the forwards didn't show up to play. I liked the spark that we saw from Lucic and Thornton though. I liked what I saw from Kessel and Bergeron. Andrew Alberts was just brutal, hopefully he's up in the press box for tomorrow and Wideman can play. Manny Fernandez was terrible, 3 of those goals could have been stopped. 4 goals on 16 shots is very brutal. I'll give him another few games, and then I'll start to get wary of him. Hopefully the failures in this game was just chalked up to because we were playing a good Dallas team. Oh well, off to Phoenix.
