Rumor on WTAM in Cleveland is that the Indians are persuing a trade with the Redsox for Manny Ramierez
the Rumor is Manny for Fausto Carmona and Adam Miller the Indians have $20 million + to spend this offseason |

I could not imagine Shapiro dealing both Miller and Caromona.
That would put them in a bad situation considering Westbrook is a freak agent next year, and Byrd sucks. That would leave them with Sowers, Lee, and CC at the major league level. The only real prospect in the minors is Lofrgen. Slocum, Sean Smith, and JD are decent candidates to succeed at the major league level. If any trade went down, I would assume the Red Sox would be after not just young pitching, but a bat. I would speculate: Westbrook or Carmona Gutierrez or Garko Then some prospect, maybe Lara, R.Perez, Mujica or someone like that Maybe throw in Paul Byrd to wash some of the cash. |

No and yes because of two reasons but this is just what i herd.
No Because 1) Y would Boston trade manny to another team in the same division 2) i dont think manny would want to go there because he wants to be wiht a team in contention and if he went to baltimore then he would be by himself b/c Baltimore would have to give up ne good they have to try and get him But then yes because 1)Baltimore has what it takes to get Manny think about a deal probaly would have to start off something like manny for tejada with Boston picking up some of his contract for begginers 2) Boston wont care were manny wants to go play b/c once they trade him its no longer there problem its whoever gets him and u never no what is going to happen look at Soriano with the Nats he didn't want to go there or play LF now look at the contract he just got and the year he had |

Appears the SF Giants are interested... There is a nice replacement for Bonds. Neither can play the OF worth a lick anymore either.

That seems like a lot for the Indians to give up for Many Ramirez. Ramirez is a great talent, but I just cannot see a team giving up two good, young pitchers for him.
The link above talks about a three-way deal (between the Red Sox, Giants, and another team), and I can definitely see that happening. |
