it also depends on the FA market and who is lookin to buy a ss/3B at the end of this year. The more people interested the more money he could end up with

Default The Accidental Tourist

New York Daily News - Baseball - Mike Lupica's Shooting From The Lip: The Accidental Tourist

New York Daily News columnist Mike Lupica: "After three full seasons as a Yankee, three seasons in which the team has not even made the World Series he must have thought would be a sure thing when he agreed to come to the Stadium and play third base, Alex Rodriguez seems to be more of a tourist here than ever. More and more you start to wonder if he will play out the last three years of his old Rangers contract even if the Yankees do finally win another World Series."

I can assure you that if A-Rod were to opt out of his contract, the Angels and their owner Arte Moreno would be one of the teams lined up to throw even more money at him. Despite not having done much to discern himself in NY, he is still a very attractive piece of the puzzle.

That is true but if he went to a new team would he go back to SS or stay at 3B

If it truly were the Angels, there's no doubt they'd keep him at 3B. They have plenty of depth at SS in the minor leagues with Brandon Wood, Sean Rodriguez, and Erick Aybar. Not to mention Maicer Izturis. I have to believe that A-Rod really prefers to go back to SS, though.

I totally agree with you thats why i don't think A-rod would want to sign with the Angels if he has to stay at 3B for them
