Default Cards may deal for starter

STLtoday - Sports - Cardinals

St. Louis Post-Dispatch (scroll down): "More likely, the Cardinals will sift the trade market this spring. The Philadelphia Phillies and Los Angeles Dodgers are expected to deal a starting pitcher, and the New York Yankees have made Carl Pavano available."

That a pretty good trade for both sides but i have a feeling Cards will want someone a bit better or something more don't get me wroung Lieber is good so that might happen

I was being sarcastic, I don't think the Phillies would get Wainright unless they gave up a prospect and/or cash. Wainright would be a huge boost to the Phillies bullpen.

Yeah I would be too. I am not sure what Isringhausen's contract looks like, but I would take him straight up for Lieber if Izzy only has 1 year left on his deal.

neither do I. The Cards are not a good fit for the Phillies. I actually wouldn't mind seeing Lieber dealt to the Mets.

Ya but who would the mets give up because they don't want to trade any of their young guys that why they siad they are set on their pitching rotation

I think thats mainly because of what happened with Kazmir
