Actually I am not a big fan of this deal unless we can trade 1 of our starters for an OF. I wouldn't be thrilled of an OF that consists of: Burrell,Victorino and Werth.

We need relief pitching, but I'll take Rowand's leadership. If we get Linebrink and a solid prospect I'd consider it.

The Phillies trainers advised the Phillies not to go beyond 3 years. The final offer was 3 years $27 million. Let him go to the Mets for $40 million over 4 years plus a 5th year option.

If you guys get to the World Series, it's obviously worth it, but until then, I will still question that amount of money for a 5'10 left handed hard throwing pitcher who's 34 years old.

The 1 rumor is Jon Lieber and Aaron Rowand for Mike Cameron and Termel Sledge. That makes zero sense.
