Alot of people may not agree with me, but if the Phillies trade Rowand for a relief pitcher, they can put Victorino in center, Jayson Werth in RF, and I would not mind Shannon Stewart as a reserve OF for the Phillies.

i think for the short run that would help the phillies especially since Rowand is a free agent after this year but in the long run who knows but whats baseball without taking chances I say do it

Yeah Rowand is a free agent after next year and it's pretty clear that I don't think he'll be back in Philly. Stewart would help the Phillies in the short run as long as he doesn't pull a hamstring or a quad like he's been known to do over the last few years.

True that but the Phillies sould mainly be thinking about long run because i don't see them winning this year not just because of the mets but also because of the Cubs, Dodgers, and maybe the Cards

I tend to disagree with you. I think this is gonna be a 3 way battle for the NL East. With the recent moves by the Braves, I think they are in the hunt as well for the division.

i agree with you except i don't know about the braves being the third team maybe an outside shot for the Marlins but even if the phillies do win the divison i dont see them getting past the NL championship series no offense.

The Phillies on rotation is in the top 3 of the NL. I think Los Angeles has a better staff than we do, but starting pitching goes a long way in the playoffs.

Mets are in the middle of the pack. A rotation of Glavine, El Duque, Sosa, Pedro is coming back in June. Right now the Mets rotation ranks behind the Phillies, Dodgers, Cardinals, Florida, Atlanta, Diamondbacks in the NL.

Forgot about Maine. He pitched very well against the Phillies twice last year.
