Default Schilling Not Retiring after 07

Curt Schilling was on WEEI this morning and said that he is not retiring after this season and that he and the Red Sox are exploring to sign a 2yr or 3 yr deal? What do you think?

Some believe its to push for his HOF....Some think its a great move....Others think its holding our top pitching prospects (Lester, Buchholz, Bowden, Bard etc)...Others think he's too old and should retire after this season

I think its a great move...you can always keep rookies down an extra yr or half year...and who knows what might happen in the future you can never have too many SP...like in 05 the sox had 8 SP by July we had 3 SP...I think this is good....Opinions

It would be great if he would come back to Philly to end his career. He loves the city, and the Phillies fans would welcome him back with open arms.

I always thought Schilling "fit" better in Philadelphia. He just seems like the kind of guy that Philly fans can get behind. I wouldn't mind seeing him go back there to finish his career. His numbers probably wouldn't suffer from a move back to the NL, also.

Where else would Schilling go in the NL? Maybe Arizona? I wouldn't think he'd go to unfamiliar territory to finish out his career.

Yeah I do agree. Obviously he's not a New York guy, Washington is out of the question, maybe Atlanta?

That was totally unexpected, but San Francisco is close to the bay area. He could also end up in Baltimore another organization he's familiar with.

True he could be a great addition to the O's but not nearly enough to help them be a contender

Hartford Courant: "Clemens, 44, the winningest (348) pitcher alive, ruled out joining anyone for spring training, and confirmed that he would consider pitching only for the Astros, Yankees or his original team, the Red Sox."

that's not shocking. He'll do the same thing he did last year.
