Rumor: Helton To Red Sox

according to ESPN redsoxs and Rockies are nearing a deal which would send Helton to Red Soxs for mike Lowell Julius Traveres and another prospect

In my own opion this could help the red soxs in the short run because Todd Helton has never hit under 300 in his 9 full years in the mlb but are the Red Soxs giving up to much for him?

The deal would also involve 40M$ cash going to the Red Sox.

I guess the Rockies would shift Atkins over to 1B, I like Lowell more in Boston than Colorado but he could do decent in Coors

Otherwise people might think its a done deal.

This move would make the Sox the best team in baseball, IMO, if they arent already

Well, they are going to try Pienero there & he has closer stuff. Just a matter if he can handle it or not. If he fails they have Hansen, who if he can harnish his stuff has lights out stuff.

o well i don't think helton will be goign for a while because this is not the first time this off seasin a deal was close for him then all of a sudden died.
