Mariners, Guillen closing in on deal

$5.5 million / one-year contract. Not a bad offer if played pretty good in the American League last time he was here.

Actually I would have liked the Phillies to have gone after him, because I still think he can be a threat in the lineup, but give credit to Seattle. 1 year at $5.5 million is a nice signing.

$5.5 million for Jose Guillen is a very good deal for the Mariners. Guillen will be a nice addition to the Mariners.
