Default Junior trivia

Where was Ken Griffey Jr. when Seattle won its first game?

Seven year old Kenny would have been sleeping in his bed in Cincinnati.

Good try, but you're off a bit.

Not even conceived yet (by about two months) when the Seattle Pilots won their first game. Or did you mean the Seattle Rainiers in the PCL?

Somebody, years ago, came up with a wonderfuol trivia qeustion here, an In-Common qeustion, listing players who were born on a day when a no-hitter was pitched in the majors.

Yes, the Seattle Pilots of '69. April 8, 1969. Ken Griffey Jr. was 7 months and 13 days from being born, so Junior was in his mother's womb when Seattle played its first game. (assuming he wasn't very premature) I'm expecting eventually that Baseball-Reference.com will list the conception dates for all players.

It's a trick question, because Griffey started with the Mariners, although the Mariners weren't the first major league team in Seattle. It sounded even better when he was still on the Mariners.

Now, that would have been a real trick question!
