Well...
The season starts... and right off the bat we have a difficult game... unfortunately it is on the road .vs one of our division rivals BAL on offense: While we are not going to be confused with one of the top offensive teams in the league, I am not very worried about us performing against the Cincy defense. A healthy and playing Ogden can only help things for us though. Look for a heavy dose of both McGahee and Anderson. Things should also be good for Heap over the middle and Williams for at least one deep ball. McNair's poise and experience should be a factor in this game and do not look for a bunch of sacks or mistakes. BAL on defense: This is truly a test. This should be a top 5 NFL offense, if not very close to it. The key factors have to be McAllister on Chad Johnson and Reed's ability to play CF and keep the passing game in check. If we don't have to play both safeties back deep, it should help our pass rush. I do not think the rushing attack of Cincy is all that much of a concern, even with Rudi. I think we have what it takes to hold him to 80 yards or less and 1 TD maximum. Early pass rush leading to mistiming in the passing game will be crucial in this game. My prediction: Being a road game, I think this is closer than it should be. We are not going to hold Cincy to less than 2 TD's in thier house on opening week. I think we win on strong defense and a good evening from the field goal kicking BAL 23 CIN 17 TD's by McGahee and Williams.... 3 FG's....

24-23 CIN.
I can't wait for the matchup of O and D between these 2 teams.

At this point... The Ravens are only favored by 2 1/2.... considering the HFA factor of +3 that would generally be given to the Bengals.... the odds makers don't really think that Cincy matches up very well against Baltimore....
the over/under os 40 1/2 so looks like my 23-17 prediction is right in line with that.... One thing though... you gotta love this for the spotlight game on Monday night for opening week of the season

Baltimore is still unsure as to the status of Ogden tonight, which would play a huge role in how they perform on offense tonight....
Clayton is also probable... probably will not start... instead Williams will probably get the nod at starting WR with Mason... I do think we will see plenty of action with Clayton in there though Odds also appear now to have CIN favored by 2.5

What a HORRIBLE game....
I give props to the Bengals.. they came out with all cylinders firing.... they were keeping themselves ahead in this game.... they played their hearts out BUT..... Baltimore did everything possible to give away this game, in the nature of the turnovers and the decisions (what the hell was Billick calling for a pass for on 3rd and 1 when the interception happened???).... granted the Bengals had to capitalize, which they did, and all the props in the world for it.. but Baltimore screwed up... And on top of that.. this game SHOULD have been going to overtime.... the call of offensive pass interference in the back of the endzone was complete HORSECRAP... hell, even Tony K in the broadcast booth understood that.... Congrats to the Bengals on the win....
