I don't know if I like this. IMHO a pretty much useless player for us. Do we really need a 35 year old mediocre player???
http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_yl...v=st&type=lgns WASHINGTON (Ticker) - The Baltimore Orioles apparently are intent on staying busy this offseason. The Washington Post reported Wednesday on its web site that the Orioles agreed to terms with first baseman Kevin Millar on a one-year deal worth $2.75 million. According to the report, the deal has an option for a second year based on how many plate appearances Millar records in 2007. Millar, 35, batted .272 with 15 home runs and 64 RBI in 132 games last season, his first in Baltimore. He is a career .287 hitter with 126 homers and 535 RBI in eight-plus seasons with the Orioles, Boston Red Sox and Florida Marlins. The reported move would constitute yet another chapter in what has been an active offseason for the Orioles, who have focused primarily on improving their bullpen. |
