Default 3 errors on one play... ug

Wow....

Did we show some defensive prowess in last night's victory over TB.... NOT!!!!!!!!!

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) -- The Baltimore Orioles committed three errors on one play that allowed the Tampa Bay Devil Rays to score a third-inning run Monday night.

Tampa Bay's Brendan Harris started the inning with a single and scored when B.J. Upton reached third following a check-swing grounder.

Baltimore first baseman Aubrey Huff received the first error after misplaying Upton's grounder. Upton advanced to second and Harris to third when Huff got a second error for an errant throw that got past pitcher Adam Loewen, who was covering first base.

Orioles catcher Paul Bako backed up the play, but was charged with the third error when his bad throw toward the plate allowed Harris to score and let Upton reach third.

Upton later scored when he beat Huff's throw to the plate on Ben Zobrist's sacrifice bunt.

I knew Huff was a defensive liability out of the outfield... but this was just abad all around play by him... almost like he let panic of the situation overcome him.... hopefully Aubrey does not play a lot more time at 1B for us for a while

Default Play...Ugh

I agree ,our infield play has been atrocious period. All have been
careless & not had their head in the gams at times.Being a
former infield coach I,m surprised that "Perloco" doesn,t crack
the whip a bit.

I read somewhere that M.L. teams dont take infield as often
before games anymore if thats true it shows.
