Default Opening Day is upon us

Opening day. The day where every player and every team has hope for greatness. Is there any better day in all of Major League Baseball???

The O's start the season out of town, and against a very tough opponent in Minnesota. It is not at home, but at least it is an evening game so I can catch it on the tube tonight. Bedard .vs Santana. We face the monster of all monster starting pitchers, but we counter with a talented youngster who is on the upswing himself. What we need to hope for is to have Bedard keep it close and get to Minnesota's bullpen. This can only happen if our batters are patient and up Santana's pitch count. Though that is something that happens about as often as a celebrity coming out of rehab and never going back in.

Well... here is to the O's... here is to the start of a season of hope... here is to OPENING DAY 2007!

Well

All in all a pretty disapointing game for the pitching, but pretty nice for the offense...

We actually got to Santana a bit... though Minnesota wins, we got to him more than is normal. But Bedard looked like crap in a blanket. 10 hits and 2 walks in less than 5 innings, and back to back HR's in the 2nd. He needs to sharpen up before the next outing big time.
