Default Kris Benson out for 2007

Quote:
In a sharp blow to the Orioles' 2007 hopes, right-hander Kris Benson will miss the entire season due to a partially torn rotator cuff, FOXSports.com has learned.

Benson, 32, will require surgery to repair his injury, which surfaced after he began throwing in off-season workouts, according to a source with knowledge of his condition

The Orioles, coming off nine straight losing seasons, expected Benson to solidify a rotation that includes left-hander Erik Bedard, righty Jaret Wright and two promising youngsters, righty Daniel Cabrera and lefty Adam Loewen.

Default Benson

This may hurt the O,s as he was an innings eater.I feel signing Trachsel
quickly will help ease the pain.

But those innings would have been filled with crap. I am upset he is hurt, for I hate to see that happen to anyone. But I honestly think that this is not a bad thing for the O's. Hopefully with coaching, experience, etc, this gives Penn a shot at the rotation.

Forget signing any more older players. Let the youth hvae their shot.

The records of Kris Benson are remarkably similar. If this guy is healthy
he can help the O,s.There is still a lot of time till the season opens &
a trade could be made.I still believe Gibbons can be traded.

Looks like the rotation will be...

1. Erik Bedard
2. Daniel Cabrera
3. Adam Loewen
4. Jaret Wright/Steve Trachsel
5. Hayden Penn/Steve Trachsel

It sounds as though the rehab had a setback and BENSON may have to opt for the surgery. Tough decision which should be made as soon as possible.

I guess I'm still the only one who finds Anna Benson about as attractive as post-mortem Anna Nicole...?

I don't think she's ugly, per se.... but I find her personality definately makes her less attractive than she could normally be considered
